WTF is that for?

This last week we've seen a video by Ana Correa in which she tried to explain the function of props in plays and try to deepen our knowledge about their importance.

The video consisted of a performance done by Ana Correa in which she showed us various sequences she had developed throughout her carreer with different objects for different plays and characters. Whilst we saw a big variety of objects, some messages stuck to me.

An object helps the actor to do actions as it is a source of inspiration, such as el acordeón,
An object may also enhance the capacities of an actor to do actions, such is the functionality of a stick, which makes movements bigger and more impressive, and creates a new array of available movements with it.
An object is a powerful representational device as it associates to many different things, so it can create metaphors and bring back feelings and memories.
An object creates sensations due to its shape, sieze and meaning in the society.

From this, I have understood how props are a very big neccesity in the process of characterisation and of creatoion of ideas and how I can use them for my own benefit.

Question: How can I create a clear idea of what an objects means to ME and what it means to the audience, so that it's usage does not backfire on my presentation (not necessarily the independent)

PS: Ya, le meti dos blogs en un dia, esto compensa, des-detencioname, sino sabras lo que es un blanco resentido y un poquito encabronado
